I studied Communication Design at the art and design faculty of a London polytechnic, and for many years was a Principal Lecturer in Communication at a university. I produce work in a variety of media: graphics/typography; photography; video; installations. During the past decade, I have concentrated on digital art, producing an ongoing portfolio of abstract digital artworks. Twenty can now be viewed at a permanent virtual gallery, as part of The Vilbil: Online Hub for Art and Artists I have also been working with moving images, creating digital abstract animations, showing one of them, in 2022, on screens in central Paris, while others have been seen in New York at the Javits Center and Times Square. In 2024, I created a moving image artwork for billboards at subway stations in São Paulo, Brazil, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As a text artist, my work is represented in collections of leading institutions. These include the British Museum, the British Library, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Bodleian Library, Oxford University, the library of Trinity College, Dublin, the library of New York University, and the National Gallery of Australia.
