Terre vague

Created about 1 year ago
Terre vague (Wavescape) immerses the viewer in a dreamlike landscape, where soft hues of blue and green drift like suspended memories. This undefined, shifting scene, with its blurred vertical streaks, evokes fleeting moments, like fragments of distant recollections. Bathed in diffuse, ethereal light, the landscape suggests a space both deserted and full of promise, a realm perpetually transforming. The emotional intensity oscillates between abandonment and renewal, inviting contemplation on the ephemeral nature of time and place. Rooted in Sébastien Pitt’s Segments series, this artwork conjures dreamscapes that weave between perception and affect. Generated with a custom MAX8 patch for 3D audiovisual performance, each scene features 3D structures, vertex displacement, and transparency shaders, creating dynamic textures and layered depths with a 360° rotation at 0.01 Hz. Rendered at 4K horizontal @60fps in a 100-second loop with ProRes 4444 and CPU-compressed H.264 via FFmpeg.
