Origine d'un songe

Created about 1 year ago
Origine d'un songe (Origin of a Dream) traces the contours of an intimate space where violet filaments rise, converging toward a deep darkness like fertile ground. In this suspended realm, matter is sublimated, allowing a fragile vision and a barely formed dream to emerge. This meeting of light and form at the boundary between the tangible and the mysterious invites the viewer to explore their stirrings of emotions, where dreams are born. This piece, part of Sébastien Pitt’s Segments series, embodies his approach of crafting dreamscapes that merge perception and affect. Created with a custom MAX8 patch for 3D audiovisual performance, each scene features intricate 3D structures with vertex displacement and transparency shaders, creating evolving textures and layered depths in a 360° rotation at 0.01 Hz. Rendered at 4K vertical @60fps in a 100-second loop, it uses ProRes 4444 and CPU-compressed H.264 via FFmpeg.
