Garde de nuit

Garde de nuit (Night Watch) invites the viewer into a shadowy, atmospheric digital space, where deep hues of dark blues and purples evoke the passage of time through an enigmatic veil. The light, subtly woven into the darkness, beckons the viewer to reflect on the winding paths we traverse, shaped by the weight of our own creation. As shifting forms emerge and recede, the work evokes a meditative space where the boundaries between perception and reality blur, suggesting that within the labyrinth of our own constructions, we find both the guidance and the mystery of what lies beyond. Created as part of the Segments approach, each loop immerses the viewer in the liminal space between reality and abstraction. Rendered from a custom performative system, each 100s 4K H.264 loop blends 3D structures, displacements, and transparency, creating layered depths and a sense of hovering motion.
