Périmètre

Created about 1 year ago
Périmètre (Perimeter) presents an abstract plane, a rotating spectral ceiling hovering like an unreachable horizon just above. Crystalline forms glimmer along its square edges, appearing and dissolving as if testing the boundaries of perception. This overhead presence holds a quiet tension, capturing viewers in a space where perception feels both expansive and confined, inviting contemplation of what lies just beyond reach. Rooted in Sébastien Pitt’s Segments series, this artwork conjures dreamscapes that weave between perception and affect. Generated with a custom MAX8 patch for 3D audiovisual performance, each scene features 3D structures, vertex displacement, and transparency shaders, creating dynamic textures and layered depths with a 360° rotation at 0.01 Hz. Rendered at 4K horizontal @60fps in a 100-second loop with ProRes 4444 and CPU-compressed H.264 via FFmpeg.
